How to Beat De-Troyer

The Citadel · Level 40 · 5 Arcade Machines
VERY HARD Level 38-42
"Five bosses defeated. Three gatekeepers passed. Four fragments collected. Right on schedule."

De-Troyer is the final boss of the Arcade Beasts story campaign and the Titanium gatekeeper at The Citadel. The fight is the hardest in the game by design — De-Troyer has the highest HP pool, the most balanced reel distribution, and a signature Boredozer that hits flat damage through shields. You cannot cheese this fight. You have to play it clean, play it long, and play it with every tool you've unlocked.

THE THREAT

De-Troyer's Titanium team has no weakness. He hits hard, heals occasionally, energies himself consistently, and his signature ignores shields. The fight lasts 20+ turns and every single turn matters. One wasted spin is usually one HP bar of your main.

Recommended Team Against De-Troyer

Team composition wins this fight before the first spin. Here's the 1 Main + 3 Support build that counters De-Troyer's specific mechanics:

MAIN Titanium or reforged Gold
Titanium mains get +5% to every stat, which is the most consistent performance in a long fight. If you have a fully-reforged Gold main from the Silver Sage fight, use that instead for the burst ceiling.
SUPPORT 1 Copper
Required, and every turn of regen matters in a fight this long.
SUPPORT 2 Silver
One heal active for the emergency reset around turn 12-14 when your HP will be genuinely low.
SUPPORT 3 Titanium
Match-chance active on your biggest burst turn around turn 16 when De-Troyer's Boredozer should be dying.

Reel Strategy

Bet Tier 3 for the first 10 turns. Steady damage, manageable energy burn, and you can survive the early phase without popping any actives.

Switch to Tier 4 for turns 11-15. This is the middle phase — Boredozer is weakened and you're trading damage to finish it off.

Save Tier 5 and 6 for turn 16 onward. This is where you burst De-Troyer himself. Combining Titanium match-chance + Tier 5 + triple on turn 17 is the intended killing sequence.

If you're new to energy tiers, read the slot-reel battle system explainer first.

5 Tips to Beat De-Troyer

1
Do not rush De-Troyer. Every story boss before him rewards aggression — he rewards patience. A 5-turn rush ends with you dead and him at 90% HP.
2
Boredozer ignores shields, so don't build an Iron team thinking the shield actives will save you. They won't. You need HP and heals.
3
Reforge everything. Main, supports, Boredozer-counter picks. This is the final fight of the campaign and there's no reason to save reforge materials.
4
Use your Silver heal active at exactly 35% main HP. Earlier is wasted value. Later and you're dead before it fires.
5
Interrupt De-Troyer's energy-build turns. If he's at 4 energy and spinning defensive, you have one turn to burst him before he goes Tier 5. Do not waste that window.
COMMON MISTAKE

Treating De-Troyer like any other district boss. He has double the HP of Silver Sage and triple the damage output of Rusty Pete. The fight is genuinely a 20-turn marathon and burst-team players lose in under 10.

Signature Threat: Boredozer

Boredozer
Boredozer
Titanium Type · De-Troyer's signature

Boredozer is a Titanium legendary with flat shield-ignoring damage. The shield stats you built up for previous fights are useless here. Your only defenses are HP pool and Silver heal actives. Plan accordingly.
